I didn’t have time to blog during the baseball playoffs, mostly because I was busy biting my nails and remembering that THERE’S ONLY ONE OCTOBER.
But, if you’re wondering:
Game 3: Crap.
Game 4: Crap, why did I pay $100 for these seats?
Game 5: Cra… wait, what? WOW.
Game 6: YES!
Game 7: NO!
Anyway, it was a good series, […]

Time to bleed green
August 7th, 2008 · No Comments
The Celtics put out their 2008-2009 schedule yesterday, along with the rest of the NBA. It took a few more days this year, thanks to the whole Seattle-Oklahoma City mess, but it’s done. And the Celtics have some pretty awesome games, with two at home against Orlando, Detroit and Cleveland (plus a third home game […]

Who needs sleep?
June 9th, 2008 · 1 Comment
I’m blogging at 4:30 a.m. on Monday, and I can’t sleep. I don’t know if it’s because:
1) My room is probably about 75-80 degrees, and even with the fan, I’m still not comfortable.
2) I took a four (maybe more) hour nap this afternoon, just because if I was awake I would have paced around crazy […]

Get me them socks!

I’m so sick of that Charles Barkley/Dwayne Wade commercial… so this post is named after it.
Got back yesterday from Lenox, Mass. after being away from Wednesday through Friday for the Providers’ Council Board and Staff Retreat. Definitely a great experience, and I think we have a great, ambitious plan in place for the 2008-2009 year. […]

Seven to go…

Just got home from TD Banknorth Garden, after watching the Celtics beat up the Pistons in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Managed to nab some tickets on Ticketmaster for (somehow) face value, and paid my $72 to watch the Celtics win their ninth straight playoff game at home. Incredible.
I’ve been to all the […]
We are all witnesses… except LeBron

Everyone in Boston is going to be witnesses… to the Celtics third-round matchup with the Detroit Pistons.
It was an epic battle earlier today, but there can only be one. And I know it’s overdue, but after the performance by Paul Pierce, aka The Truth, I leave you with this.
Here’s hoping I can get tickets to […]

The Sox game was postponed. Too bad the Celtics wasn’t.
They’re getting creamed, but at least I didn’t forfeit my Sox tickets. I assume I can still pick them up for tomorrow’s game at the Will Call window. And I didn’t have to sit in rain for a couple hours with Jen, who would have been […]

Lusting for the Green
May 16th, 2008 · No Comments
I want to make it clear: I’ve always been, first and foremost, a Sox fan. I wasn’t a huge NBA guy since I remember watching Jordan and the Bulls run through the league in the ’90s. I don’t know if I was a Bulls fan, but I liked watching them: Jordan was simply incredible, his […]

Celts-Cavs

Went to the first game last night, and had the best seats I had all year. The energy was absolutely unreal, and it was a great time.
LeBron got completely shut down, and even though we didn’t play too well, we pulled it out. Definitely an encouraging start for this series.
I’d write more, but […]

Game 7 - Celtics/Hawks
May 4th, 2008 · No Comments
I’ve never been to a Game 7 in my entire life. I’ve been to pivotal playoff games, but never EVER a Game 7. The biggest playoff game I was at was either Game 3 of the 2003 ALDS, where Trot Nixon hit a pinch-hit home run to save the Red Sox season. They were down […]
