I’m physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted after last night. I just finished a midterm I spent most of yesterday studying for.
And for some reason, through this exhaustion, I haven’t felt tired all day.
It’s because I keep going to Boston.com. ESPN. The Boston Herald. CBS Sportsline. MLB.com. Sons of Sam Horn.
I can’t get over last night’s […]

Down here with the rest of you
July 18th, 2008 · No Comments
Not too much time to update lately. Took some time off to go to Martha’s Vineyard with Jen at the beginning of the month and been pretty busy ever since. Had a four day weekend last weekend (Friday-Monday), and went out Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon and night. And it really caught […]

Back to baseball

I’m about to head to Fenway for the Sox game, but the weather might not cooperate.
Class was class, but now the real fun begins. I honestly don’t mind my classes at Suffolk. There’s some cool people in the class with me, the topics are interesting and helpful and the professors are pretty good. I’m just […]

Nothing like a two-day week
April 10th, 2008 · No Comments
My work week is pretty nice this week. With my vacation days on Monday and Tuesday and school on Friday, I’m not really making much of an appearance at work this week, except for the 16 hours I’ll be there on yesterday and today.
I’m definitely looking forward to this weekend when I go to my […]

We’re home: Opening Day!
April 9th, 2008 · No Comments
So our two-state, two-country baseball odyssey behind us, Mike and I attended Opening Day at Fenway Park yesterday for the presentation of the rings and an Opening Day matchup against the 0-6 Detroit Tigers. Mike and I entered the game at 0-3 ourselves, watching the sweep of the Sox in Toronto over the weekend.
We joined […]

Day 5: Home is where the Hall is
April 8th, 2008 · No Comments
When I was seven or eight years old, my parents took me to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. I barely remember it. I do remember thinking it was a lot of walking and there were some cool things there, but I don’t remember anything specific about it. I couldn’t tell you the […]

Day 4: Maybe we’re bad luck?
April 7th, 2008 · No Comments
Nothing like hanging out at the ballpark, hoping to salvage one game and not be swept when big Frank Thomas steps up to the plate with the bags juiced. That’s ok though.
He unjuiced them pretty quick with a grand slam served up by Manny Delcarmen and basically charged to Josh Beckett. And the Sox got […]

Day 3: Blackjack isn’t awful
April 6th, 2008 · No Comments
So Saturday didn’t go any better than Friday.
In fact, it was much, much worse. This one was basically over by the end of the sixth inning. Buchholz didn’t pitch great, and gave up four runs (three earned). But the real damage was done by Snyder and Corey, who gave up six runs in just […]

Day 2: Alomar’s spitting image
April 5th, 2008 · No Comments
Woke up yesterday morning and checked out of Turning Stone about 10:30. Made our way quickly back onto the highway and hit the road shortly before 11 a.m. With the prospect of the first rest stop having both a Dunkin’ Donuts for me and a Sbarro (at 10:45 a.m.) for Mike, we decided to stop. […]

Oh Canada!
April 2nd, 2008 · No Comments
So Mike and I are heading to Canada to watch the Blue Jays play the Red Sox in a three-game set this weekend. Definitely looking forward to it, especially the Josh Beckett v. Roy Halladay matchup that could be slated for Sunday if Beckett’s balky back cooperates. We’re planning to wake up on Friday morning […]
