Blogging’s going to be sporadic over the next few days, as I’m heading to Washington DC for the NCNA Annual Meeting and the Nonprofit Congress. I haven’t spent a weekend in DC since I was visiting Kim maybe in September/October 2004? That’s crazy.
I’m completely in love with the city, and it’ll be nice to see […]

Shock and sadness

I was sitting at my desk at work yesterday when my friend Dan called me around 11 a.m. Dan and I go way back to the Record-Journal when I was a summer intern and Dan, who had been a summer intern, was a new employee in the Record-Journal’s sports department. We started talking because of […]

Panic!
May 26th, 2008 · No Comments
Nothing like starting off a relaxing Memorial Day with a panic dream.
You know the dreams. You’re in school, maybe hanging out in your dorm room, and then you see a syllabus for a class. What’s this? Was I suppose to attend this class this semester? I don’t remember this at all! Public speaking? Did I […]

In the words of Bono…

…it’s a beautiful day.
Unfortunately, I’m not really getting a chance to enjoy it. I’m stuck writing two papers today for my Suffolk classes, one which is due Friday and one which is due the following Friday. Then I’ve got journal entries, success factors and internal controls to write too, IN ADDITION to the two papers. […]

I’m so sick of that Charles Barkley/Dwayne Wade commercial… so this post is named after it.
Got back yesterday from Lenox, Mass. after being away from Wednesday through Friday for the Providers’ Council Board and Staff Retreat. Definitely a great experience, and I think we have a great, ambitious plan in place for the 2008-2009 year. […]

Ugh

I cannot believe the Spurs blew a 20-point lead against the Lakers. I mean, seriously, you’re on the road in Game One, it would be a huge win and they just can’t keep the lead. Now they’re down four with 7 seconds left.
Kobe Bryant is incredible. Two first half points, and then he goes on […]

Seven to go…

Just got home from TD Banknorth Garden, after watching the Celtics beat up the Pistons in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Managed to nab some tickets on Ticketmaster for (somehow) face value, and paid my $72 to watch the Celtics win their ninth straight playoff game at home. Incredible.
I’ve been to all the […]
We are all witnesses… except LeBron

Everyone in Boston is going to be witnesses… to the Celtics third-round matchup with the Detroit Pistons.
It was an epic battle earlier today, but there can only be one. And I know it’s overdue, but after the performance by Paul Pierce, aka The Truth, I leave you with this.
Here’s hoping I can get tickets to […]

Went to the Sox game tonight and watched them come up big with a 7-6 win. While Wakefield got staked to an early 5-1 lead thanks to a two-run double and a two-run homer by Mike Lowell, the Sox let the Brewers back into the game with sloppy defense. Luckily, the Brewers played even worse […]

The Sox game was postponed. Too bad the Celtics wasn’t.
They’re getting creamed, but at least I didn’t forfeit my Sox tickets. I assume I can still pick them up for tomorrow’s game at the Will Call window. And I didn’t have to sit in rain for a couple hours with Jen, who would have been […]
