What a day yesterday.
I woke up slightly before 6 a.m. to watch the Red Sox drop their second regular-season game to the Athletics. Bummer.
From about 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., I watched the game with Mike while bumming around the apartment and getting ready to head to work. Left the house just after 8, and got to work around 8:30 a.m. Worked through meetings, finalizing our newspaper which had its deadline on Wednesday, and then left around 5:30 p.m. to come home, change, meet Chris for a burrito at Anna’s, and head back into the city to catch the Celtics. While we assumed the game started at 7:30 (as all the other ones have), this one began at 7 p.m. So we missed the first few minutes, but it was still a good time.
Chris’ birthday also happened to be Wednesday, so we celebrated before and after the game, meaning I didn’t make it home on Wednesday night until almost 2 a.m. Usually, I like to get at least six hours of sleep before work, but that definitely didn’t happen this morning. Oh well.
I’m writing this as I just got home from work Thursday night, and I’m about to take a nap. But I’m exhausted, so it’s probably going to be a long one. Definitely looking forward to this weekend as 1) 21 comes out, 2) the Celtics and Hornets play on Friday night, 3) the NCAA pools will become whittled down and I’ll know by Saturday if I have a realistic chance of winning and 4) we’re heading out for Chris’ birthday on Saturday. Should be a good little weekend… I don’t know if there will be enough time.
