So it’s not Super Super Tuesday in Boston, but in New York. We’re totally going to ignore Sunday. Sure, if the game had gone differently, I would have written a long glowing post about the best quarterback in football and a group that would be considered for best team ever. Instead, I don’t find a need to write a euglogy for the Patriots.
I’m about to head to work, but first, I’m off to vote at Brown School in Somerville. I did want to vote for John Edwards, but with Edwards out of the race, I’ve decided to vote for Barack Obama. My rationale is simple: I dislike both Republican candidates, and I don’t think Hillary Clinton can win a general against either of them. That leaves me with two options:
• Vote for Edwards anyway, as he’s still on the ballot. It’s a protest vote, saying I don’t really love any of the “big four.”
• Vote for Obama. He’s the only real chance for the Democrats to take back the White House and the contrast between he and McCain is stark.
Like I said, it’s Obama for me, but no matter who you decide to support at the polls today, please go and vote. If you’re in Massachusetts, this link to the Secretary of the State’s website will help you find out where you vote. If you’re in another state, you’re on your own.
Definitely not a reason to vote for Obama, but this is pretty freakin’ awesome too. Just incredible.
I’m leaving you with the logo I created for my job’s voting initiative. Why? Because I created it. And it’s awesome.
