From There to Here

Coming home from work tonight, and I stop to get gas. As I’m pumping it, the little digital screen has the following readout: “Please replace nozzle after use.”

What the hell was I going to do with it? And they have to tell people this?

Maybe it doesn’t seem that weird, but I just figured that was common sense. Just goes to show you that people are stupid. Did they come up with this message because there was a rash of people just leaving the nozzle hanging when done? And in this time of $3/gallon gas, are people not going to finish their transaction and leave the pump working for the next person?

Really. Come on now.
