From There to Here

I ask Bank of America for a fax number because I need to send them something.

Their response?

number for Bank of America. We value you as a customer and will be happy
to assist you.

Please note that we are unable to provide you with a fax number for Bank
of America. For the best possible assistance regarding your query we
would request you to contact us at [phone number].

Um, ridiculous. Sounds like a “smack down liar” to me. I could have called BoA by phone all day, since I sent this e-mail at 7 a.m. But to get back to me with this message after midnight, well, it’s just unacceptable.
