Almost as good as the Pats

(If you don’t care about Fantasy Football, check back later today or tomorrow for a different post)
While I could have pointed this out yesterday, as neither Chris (who I was playing) or I had any Monday Night Football players this week, I’ll discuss today how good my fantasy football team has been:

I’m in second place at 2-0, only behind one person because he has more fantasy points. I’m 20 points out of first and in sole possession of second. Other than first place (good old Matt), my team is the only other one to go 2-0 the first two weeks.

This week, I just beat Chris 128-126. Big performances from:

Minnesota netted 21 points — the most points on my team, after having the second most points on my team (only behind Fantasy Football stud Romo) in week one.

Edgerrin had 20 points, Romo checked in with 18, Drew Brees had 14, Marty Booker (who I just picked up and started for week 2) had 13 and Javon Walker cashed in with 10. Only one player on my bench, Matt Schaub, outscored one of his counterparts in the lineup (Schaub had 17, Brees 14).

Another quality week, although I’m now on my third kicker (Pitt’s Jeff Reed) in as many weeks. Olindo Mare didn’t perform well in Week 1, so I picked up Mason Crosby. Then Favre got too good, so Crosby’s gone too. We’ll see if I can win a league with going through seventeen kickers in seventeen weeks. Who knows? It could happen.

Is Brees ever going to get his shit together? Should I be starting Schaub over him? Should I trade Schaub/Brees for a big name WR? So many choices.

For those in the know, it’s the Old School DFP.
