Thanks Drew Brees for helping to lead my fantasy team to a beating that I’m sure will rival the one your Saints took from the Colts last night.
Brees, my third pick in my fantasy league (23rd overall), posted the following line: 28-41 passing for 192 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT and 1 fumble lost. For those of you scoring at home, that was good for THREE POINTS in my fantasy league. My kicker, Olindo Mare, got a field goal and grabbed FOUR POINTS.
My KICKER outscored my THIRD PICK, my FIRST OVERALL QB. What a way to start.
My opponent has Joseph Addai, who carried 23 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. He added three catches for 25 yards. That’s good for 19 fantasy points.
So he has ten players left to go (I have nine, minus my QB1 and kicker), he has both his QBs (our league starts two QBs) and I’m down 12 points. Spectacular. With my top pick (Larry Johnson) probable to see limited time this week, I think I should begin to prepare myself for starting the season 0-1.
For posterity reasons, here’s my team.
