From There to Here

Just hanging around the apartment today during the three-day weekend, doing a little more spackling of the hole in my wall.

Woke up early, as it’s really heating up. Up to 87 in Revere, and while I like it warm and detest AC, I think it’s necessary today. Just shut the window and turned the AC up. Really hoping it cools off before we move to Somerville next week.

I’m pretty excited about leaving Revere in just seven days. Couple that with the fact I’m moving to Davis in Somerville, and I really can’t wait. I celebrated my short-term status here by going to the Starbucks — which is located in a Target. I’m looking forward to when I can hang out in a Starbucks, namely the one in Davis Square, that doesn’t have a ridiculous retail store attached to it.

Kind of bummed that Reggie Miller isn’t coming back from the Celts, but a few friends and I just got four seats to 11 games (and one preseason game) for the upcoming season. Mostly Wednesdays, one or two Thursdays, a Friday and a few Sundays. A bunch of good teams, and it should be pretty sweet.

Sox just tied it 1-1. Julio Lugo, for all his deficiencies in the first half, is definitely coming through in the second half. Liking this team going to the playoffs, but I wish JD Drew would, oh, I don’t know, homer? It’s been FOR-EV-ER.

And Amy Schumer was funny on Last Comic Standing this week, but she could be going home. I don’t know if she can compete with these folks. Plus, I didn’t vote for her, as I watched it TiVo-ed this morning. Hope she makes it…
