Car is done and ready to be picked up.

Communications and Media Committee meeting went extremely well.

As one of my favorite websites continues to slam Joe Morgan every day, they point out this week that another writer is beating the drum. In Phil Mushnick’s column in the New York Post for the last three weeks, he’s lambasted Morgan for a) being a liar, b) refusing to admit he’s a liar and c) being a liar or an idiot, whichever you fine more appalling. I cannot believe Morgan did this, which I will let Mushnick explain…

Joe Morgan remains relentless in providing expertly stated nonsense. Last night, during Mets-Cubs on ESPN, Luis Castillo stuck with a windblown popup, making a nice catch. But Morgan explained the play as the result of Castillo being unfamiliar with the winds in Wrigley Field because, “Castillo has played his entire career in the American League.”

But Castillo played 10 years in the NL, all with the Marlins. In fact, it was Castillo who hit the infamous fly that spectator Steve Bartman caught - before Moises Alou could - in the 2003 NLCS at Wrigley. Last season, with the Twins, was his first in the AL.

In the top of the fifth, Morgan’s partner, Jon Miller, noted that Castillo has played before in Wrigley. Morgan said nothing.

Joe Morgan: expanding the truth everywhere and admitting no shortcomings ever. As a former reporter (link to shameless self-promotion), I understand how mistakes can happen. I always admitted mine and when I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong. But to be wrong so consistently and NEVER APOLOGIZE, there’s just something wrong with that.
